Equestrians competing at the National (Equine Canada Gold) level in the Open or Junior divisions or International level (North American Junior/Young Riders, World Championships, Olympics, or FEI / Equine Canada Platinum competitions) are eligible to apply. Equestrians whom received this grant last year are also eligible to apply in the current year. Athlete Assistance is categorized the following way:

Level 1 Sport

  • Olympic disciplines

Level 2 Sport

  • Non-Olympic disciplines

Exceptional Youth

  • Juniors in Olympic or Non-Olympic disciplines

Athlete Assistance grants are intended to help contribute financially to the athlete’s efforts in continuing to develop, progress, and improve competitively in the coming year. All Athlete Assistance applicants must be current members of MHC in good standing.

Athlete Assistance applications are issued by Sport Manitoba following the current year’s busiest competitive season. Athlete Assistance applications and criteria will be posted once available for the 2010/2011 year. All Athlete Assistance applications are first approved by MHC's Athlete Development Committee.

Once available, Athlete Assistance applications will be posted here. Deadline for application submission is October 29, 2010.

Regional Travel Assistance
