Certified and “current” Coaches have access to Coaching Manitoba’s Coaching Assistance program through Manitoba Horse Council (MHC). “Currency” means the Coach is up-to-date on all requirements as stipulated by Equine Canada and MHC. 

Coaching Development grants and funding of 2 different types is accessible to Certified Coaches: High Performance Assistance and Travel Assistance. Coaches accessing funding must be of current status. 

An additional grant is available through Coaching Manitoba to the Coaching Course Conductor/Learning Facilitator.  

For more information and an application form please contact the MHC office. There is a limited number of Coaching Assistance applications accepted by Coaching Manitoba per year; as such, all Coaches’ applications are first approved by MHC’s Coaching Committee.

Regional Travel Assistance 

Additional Travel Assistance Grants are provided by the Sport Manitoba Community Development or Regional offices. These grants are to assist with travel expenses incurred by coaches when travelling within the province for Seminars, Conferences, or a Certification course. (Eg. Travel from Brandon, MB to Winnipeg, MB for a valid Coaching Seminar). 

To apply for Regional Travel Assistance, contact the MHC Office. If approved by MHC, the application is sent to the Regional Sport Manitoba Office in which area the applicant resides (Eg. A Brandon, MB resident’s application would be sent to the Westman office).
